Petrov was not in the Best Eleven Of The Week chart, but was included in the Honourable Mentions by goal.com.
The Bulgarian midfielder made his debut in the Premiership in a match against West Ham in which Manchester City won 2:0.
The UK’s The Sun awarded Petrov six points out of 10 for his performance in the match.
The other Bulgarian in Manchester City, Valeri Bojinov, also received six points.
