FORMULA 1 TRACK TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN BULGARIA

A Formula 1 track would be constructed close to Bulgarias coastal town of Kavarna.

British company Berkeley Square Trading Limited would be responsible for the project, Focus news agency reported.

Planning and construction would follow all Formula 1 standards and according to company representatives the track would be the first of this type to be set up in Bulgaria.

Investors already presented their plans to Kavarna mayor Tsonko Tsonev who would table the project for approval in the municipal council on September 26, Focus said.

The project would cost more than 30 million leva. According to the investment plan the track would increase the number of tourist visits and would aid the carrying out of sport programmes.

Maintenance staff to be hired needed to have technical skills, company representatives said. Berkeley Square Trading Limited said it was willing to train potential employees and increase their qualification.
