Municipal property on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast has been turned into illegal parking.
The plot is located just at the entrance of the town near the beach and attraction sites, Dnevnik daily reported.
Municipality administration said that it was helpless to find the responsible parties, and has done nothing on the issue.
Police officers found out that the car park was open every day until 8:00pm. One hour stay at the parking costs two leva and 12 hours, five leva.
Car owners receive a ticket with no company details and stamp. It is unclear how long the car park has been operating, and who has collected the profit.
Police officers have also found illegal campsites in the resort of Tsarevo.
A company from Bourgas took over the property in 2005 and managed 30 bungalows with 35 rooms and 100 beds. It had been giving the rooms for rent to Bulgarian tourists but had failed to account its profit.
Near the first campsite, police found another bungalow complex owned by another company. It lacked tourists registration book and classification license. Tax authorities also found several illegal parking places and barriers.
Tourists have complained that there is no space left on the beaches for free use.
