Inflation in Bulgaria increased to 4.3 per cent in May 2007 on annual basis, National Statistical Institute (NSI) data showed.
Consumer price index for May compared to April figures was 100.1 and inflation rate 0.1 per cent, investor.bg reported.
The price of non-edible products went up by 0.6 per cent and services prices increased by 0.3 per cent. Food products prices decreased by 0.6 per cent.
Flour costs 0.8 per cent less, pork lost in value 0.7 per cent, while cheese and eggs cost 0.8 and 4.6 per cent less respectively.
Fresh and frozen fruit prices increased by 15.1 per cent.
Wine and beer cost 0.9 per cent and 1.5 per cent more respectively. Tobacco products experienced a price decrease of 0.2 per cent.
In the group of non-edible products and services, price increase was registered for clothing, 0.5 per cent, accommodation maintenance, 1.6 per cent, water supply, 2.2 per cent.
