Irish investors who had bought two apartments in Bulgaria, ended up cheated by the property seller, Dnevnik daily said as quoting Irish media.
The investors bought the apartments in Bulgarias coastal resort of Sunny Beach and pre-paid half of the 23 000 euro price.
When the investors decided to visit their new property, they were surprised to find out that the apartments had been rented by the selling company Platinum Developments, Dnevnik said.
The Irish sent a protest letter to Platinum Developments asking for compensation.
Platinum Developments said that the complaint was absolutely groundless.
Neither law, nor the contract restricted the seller to rent the property before the bargain was concluded, the company said.
