The Macedonian government will start working on the project to build a railway between Macedonia and Bulgaria, part of pan-European transport corridor XVIII, connecting Black Sea to Adriatic Sea.
Macedonian and Bulgarian governments will search financial support of 200 million euro from international banks, Macedonian Dnevnik daily reported, as quoted by Bulgarian National Radio.
Part of the railway track is already finished but the work on the projects was previously stopped.
Both governments will present the project to the council of ministers of EU in Brussels.
Macedonian transport minister Mile Janakievski said that pan-European corridors would boost the economic development of the country and have a positive influence on South Eastern Europe.
