Three members of the ruling National Movement for Stability and Progress (NMSP), former National Movement Simeon II (NMSII), have said that they wanted to leave the party.
Among them are deputy chairpersons Milen Velchev and Dolores Assenova, as well as secretary Vladimir Donchev.
Party leader Simeon Saxe-Coburg confirmed the information on June 19.
Saxe-Coburg said that the party leadership had to decide whether to accept the resignations. The decision was going to be internal rather than public, Saxe-Coburg said.
Instability in NMSP followed the recent members of European Parliament (MEP) elections in Bulgaria and the party congress that came after. Leadership changes were made during the forum, while some of the NMSP members said that the decisions were manipulated.
