The national teachers' strike ends, but some teachers in Sofia want to continue, spokesperson of the Union of Bulgarian Teachers, Yana Takeva announced on November 2 2007.
On November 5 it would become clear how many of the 24 regions of Sofia want to continue the strike, zagrada.bg quoted Takeva as saying.
The chairperson of the national strike committee, Stefan Vulkov said that outside Sofia, only in Bourgas there were schools that wanted to continue the strike.
The unions would end the effective strike on November 5 2007, since there was no one with whom to continue negotiations after the categorical rejection from Government, unions said. The second argument of the unions was that the budget proposal for 2008 has been entered in Parliament.
Teachers are, however, unions say, ready to strike.
