Petya Gegova announced she would be leaving the parliamentary group of National Movement for Stability and Progress (NDSV) and join the new parliamentary group Bulgarian New Democracy (BND), Bulgarian National Radio said on December 17.
"The decision was not easy, but we all have a limit to our tolerance. The ideas with which I accepted to become member of NDSV in 2001, are no longer the same, political ideas, as well as the way the parliamentary group functions," Gegova said.
Gegova said she did not want to burden NDSV's parliamentary group with her presence. She said she announced her decision now, because she had been outside the country for some time.
She said she could not exclude that other colleagues would follow her.
