Passengers’ traffic at Bourgas Airport 7 per cent up, at Varna deceases

The number of passengers serviced by the Bourgas Airport in 2007 exceeded 1.949 million, an increase of 7.3 per cent compared to the year before, the airport concessionaire Fraport Group said.

Passengers’ traffic at the other Bulgarian airport managed by Fraport, Varna Airport, decreased by 2.6 per cent to 1.493 million passengers in 2007.

In 2007, Fraport Group airports serviced a total of 75 614 414 passengers, an increase of 5.5 per cent year-on-year.

Fraport's Lima Airport in Peru saw the highest increase with 24.3 per cent in the number of passengers serviced. It's Antaliya Airport ranked second with an increase of 12.7 per cent.

Aircraft movements at Fraport's airports rose by 3.7 percent to 698 402 takeoffs and landings.

Over December 2007 the six Fraport airports served nearly 5.21 million passengers and 53 079 takeoffs and landings, an increase of 3.9 per cent in the number of passengers and 3.9 per cent on the flights.
