Ruling Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) party took a decision for a 10 per cent increase of pensions as of July 1, Labour and Social Policy Minister Emilia Maslarova said.
Maslarova said as quoted by mediapool.bg that the increase in pensions would depend on the revenue implementation of state budget.
During a seminar, which took place near Belmeken over the weekend, BSP also decided that the Finance and Education ministries have to prepare urgently a low interest students credit programme.
BSP will soon discuss the strategy of its income policy. The government expects a 20 per cent income growth in the real sector in 2007, Maslarova said.
In 2007, BSP will focus on internal policies while in 2006 its main efforts were focused on EU integration, Deputy Prime Minister Ivailo Kalfin said.
During the second day of the seminar politicians discussed healthcare reforms and the efficient utilisation of EU funds in this sphere.
