14:09 Tue 19 Sep 2006

German company Siemens would open a transformer plant in the Bulgaria's town of Botevgrad, Darik Radio reported.

Bulgaria was the third country, after Canada and China, where Siemens would carry out such high technology production, Darik said.

Siemens' choice proved Bulgaria's political and financial stability, strategic location and worker qualification, a Council of Ministers press release said.

More than 100 experts would work in the plant, Darik said.

The production would be exported for assembling to the other Siemens plants, Darik said.
