SOPHARMA BOUGHT UKRAINIAN PHARMACEUTICAL PLANT

Pharmaceutical company Sopharma has signed a contract to buy Ukrainian pharmaceutical plant Vitamini, Sofia Stock Exchange announced on November 15 2007.

Over the past year, Vitamini realised a production worth $5.3 million (3.6 million euro), which ranked it as the 13th largest producer in the Ukraine, Dnevnik daily said.

Sopharma indicated it planned to increase the company's market-share in Russia, the Ukraine, Poland and other countries.

On November 15, the average price for Sopharma shares on the Sofia Stock Exchange was 8.90 leva.
