Turkish holding Teklas has invested 10 million euro in a new rubber plant near the Bulgarian town of Kurdjali, Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported.
The plant is to produce rubber products for the automobile construction industry, BNR said. The entire production of the new plant will be exported.
Volkswagen was the first major customer of the new plant.
Fifty-seven employees already worked in the plant and another 200 will be hired in the next months, BNR said.
Teklas would build a similar plant in the same area in 2007.
