Residents of Veliko Turnovo have, as of November 27 2008, access to wireless internet services, WiMAX service provider Nexcom-Bulgaria announced in a press statement on the same day.
The wifi base stations were unveiled at a presentation ceremony at Rachev Hotel Boliarski.
Since the beginning of 2008, Nexcom has expanded its country coverage from 10 cities to more than 30 cities, towns and villages of all sizes, to encompass about 50 per cent of Bulgaria in its service network. These areas include Black Sea coast, Kurdjali, Sliven, Vratsa and Dobrich.
Nexcom Bulgaria is a daughter company of US Nexcom Telecommunications; it entered Bulgaria in 1998 and started offering wireless internet services in January 2007.
