The Miners

    Еven though they reside in the proximity to one of the richest and fastest growing seaside resorts “Sunny Beach”, the people from a near- by village are locked up in the darkness and dangers of the mines. They live underground the way their fathers lived before them. The characters in the movie remember their parents’ advise never to follow in their steps but destiny has something different in store for them. Each vocation has its own unique characteristics but theirs is the work for the strongest. Despite the difficult and often dangerous nature of the job, the miners hardly make ends meet. They often remain without remuneration as well. Some of them recall that they chose to become miners with the hope of building their own house one day, but at the end the only thing they managed to “win” was back pain.
