Bulgaria’s Ledenika brewery, which was shut down in the beginning of 2012, is primed to renew production next year. The Mezdra-based factory has been acquired by Litex Commerce from Ledenika’s creditor, First Investment Bank, for a price of between 12 and 13 million leva. The information was confirmed by Litex’s owner Grisha Ganchev.
The buyer plans to invest 10 million leva in new machinery and equipment and restart production by February. The brewery will keep its most popular beer brand, Ledenika, and probably the other nine brands, production director Vladimir Tsvetkov said. At least 200 people will be employed in the factory.Read more in Bulgarian here.
