Consumption of beer in Bulgaria is expected to increase significantly during the summer, in comparison to the levels for the winter months, representative of the Union of Brewers in Bulgaria (UBB) Vladimir Ivanov said.
During January and February, people consume nearly four times less beer than during June, July and August, Ivanov told Focus news agency.
The trend has been re-occurring each year, Ivanov said.
Bulgaria's brewing industry was developing and sometimes demand exceeded supply, he said.
Previously UBB reported that since the beginning of the year, beer sales have increased 18.4 per cent in comparison to the figures for the previous year.
