The first bicycle lane in Sofia, along Evlogi Georgiev Boulevard, is nearing completion, but cyclists should be ready for some unexpected situations.

The bicycle lane has been laid between the boulevard and the channel that separated the two sides of the boulevard.
Halfway along the boulevard, however, the lane switches sides, using an already existing pedestrian bridge. If they attempt to cross the bridge, cyclers coming from Orlov Most (Eagle's Bridge) are in for a surprise.
