The Hungarian Cultural Institute of Sofia has organised 10-days' worth of cultural activities in Bulgaria's Black Sea town of Sozopol under the devise Hungarian Wave, to take place from July 30 to August 10 2008.
Art exhibitions, jazz and Hungarian folk music concerts and book presentations will give visitors the opportunity to understand a bit more of the culture of the Magyar people.

With a bright blue sky, a blazing sun and a light breeze, but under the patronage of Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev, the first race in the fifth international windsailing regatta in Bulgaria's Black Sea town of Sveti Vlas launched on the afternoon of July 18 2008.
Participating in the races, which will continue until Sunday July 20, are over 25 teams from Bulgaria and abroad, including Italy and the UK. Races are held in four classes. These classes include the Conrad 25R, Melges 24, yachts under 29 feet and cruisers over 29 feet. Registration would be kept open as long as possible to enable as more teams to take part, organisers said.

On a pleasant evening, eight people almost casually recline on the green and red benches scattered in the garden of the Art Hostel at 21A Angel Kunchev street in Sofia. Some of them are sipping beer; others are drinking mineral water. Everybody smokes. Hollow coconut shells serve as ashtrays.
From the speakers hidden in the basement where the Art café is, singer Anouk angrily proclaims, "I'll never be nobody's wife." Sadly, amid the light chatter coming from the benches, the only confidant to this revelation appears to be a gray cat with white paws that resemble tiny boots. She listens with some uncanny curiosity.

The imbroglio between Macedonia and Greece has been resolved by default - by the coming to light of an ancient manuscript ceding sovereignty over both territories in perpetuity to today's Kosovo.
In addition, Kosovo would also hold claims over a region in south-east Bulgaria, formerly referred to as Bulgarian Macedonia until the Socialist regime changed the name to Pirin region.
